Earlier this year, my husband and I enjoyed the christening of Oceania's newest ship, Marina. As we boarded the mid-sized ship, we knew we were about to experience an incredible vessel. We were absolutely amazed by the Grand Stairway made of Lalique fine crystal. Walking to our cabin, we were impressed by the beauty and elegance of the Marina. When we got into our room we found the cabin to be well laid out, accessible, functional and aesthetically pleasing. The bathroom had a large bathtub and separate shower.
Excellent Dining Experiences
Every single lunch and dinner was a special dining experience. Of
special note were the fish entrees, which were cooked to perfection:
moist, tender, fresh and full of flavor. Nine different restaurants on
board offer menus ranging from French to Italian to Asian. I was
particularly impressed with the Red Ginger restaurant, which featured
dishes from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and other Asian nations.
Jacques, a French venue, also impressed; acclaimed French chef Jacques
Pépin is its executive culinary director.
If you want to enjoy a truly unique dining experience, consider Privée.
Here, for "only" $1,000, you have the dining room to yourself, and you
work with a chef to plan your special gourmet meal. But even if you
don't "go big" with this special event, I'm certain you'll enjoy the
food on board the Marina. It absolutely exceeded our expectations.
Spa, Pool, Casino and More
Marina also offers the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, which includes a full menu
of spa services and beauty treatments, plus aromatic steam rooms and
open-air whirlpool tubs. Other ship highlights include the Bon Appétit
Culinary Center, the world's only hands-on culinary studio at sea, as
well as the Artist's Loft, where experts instruct guests in painting,
drawing, needlepoint and other crafty endeavors. With martini tastings,
top-notch musical entertainment, a casino and large pool, there's always
something to do on the beautiful and sophisticated brand-new Marina.
